nadian Atlantic was founded in August 1965 and began operations in March 1969. Operations ceased on January 17, 1999.

Malcolm Allin founded Canadian Atlantic in August 1965 to compete with Air Canada. The airline's first flight was on March 1, 1969. The plane to fly this route would be HC-DFA, a Boeing 720.
